There are two main ways to get your Medicare coverage:
Original Medicare
Original Medicare includes Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and Medicare Part B (medical insurance). If you want drug coverage, you can join a separate Medicare Drug Plan (Part D). To help pay for out-of-pocket costs you can also shop for and buy supplemental coverage. You can use any medical provider that takes Medicare, anywhere in the United States.
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Medicare Advantage is an alternative to Original Medicare. These plans include Part A, Part B, and usually Part D. Out-of-pocket costs vary. You may need to use medical providers who are in the plan's network.
